Encouraging news from Germany: Max Ophühls Award has selected Christin Veith´s entertaining debut documentary RELATIVELY INDEPENDENT about two schools in Graz to celebrate it’s international premiere at Saarbruecken. Bernhard Hetzenauer´s irritating La Sombra de un Dios will be running in the shorts section.
sixpackfilm @ Rotterdam Film Festival 2018
We are more than happy to announce again a strong presence of sixpackfilm during the upcoming Rotterdam International Film Festivals: on one hand we are looking forward to the european premiere of Johann Lurf´s ★ – being selected at Sundance as well. On the other hand the new films by Rainer Kohlberger more than everything and Manuel Knapp Momentum 142310 have been selected into the Tiger Shorts Competition. Furtheron also Leninopad by Anna Jermolaeva as well as Unearthing. In conversation by Belinda Kazeema will celebrate their first international appearance. Last not least we will present Kurt Kren´s ever irritating Guenter Brus-Film 10/65 Selfmutilation within the Dinamo-screenings. Watch out for it ! – festival line-up

VALIE EXPORT programs touring in Spain
Austrian feminist artist and video pioneer VALIE EXPORT is dedicated several personal shows in Spain throughout the upcoming months: starting point is Gijon Film Festival showing a larger retrospective, introduced and accompanied by Brigitta Burger-Utzer from sixpackfilm. Upcoming stations are Tabakalera in San Sebastian and Filmoteca de Cantabria in Santander in december and january.
