Boring, Falling, Loving
Being young in the country, a waiting situation on a film set, an idiosyncratic conversation between a man and a woman, and a science fiction story based on a story by American author Samuel R. Dalany: These are the "main features" of a program whose sequence is repeatedly broken up by short animations - the eponymous Boring, Falling, Loving. It is is a short foray through recent narrative short film productions that focus on the situational, whereby the concrete is broken up through the use of animation, articulation modulation or acoustic found footage. As different as the formal decisions of these works are, what they have in common is their consistently humorous approach.
