Since the political upheaval in Ukraine, countless Lenin monuments have been dismantled. In 2015, Anna Jermolaewa travelled through the country to document the architectural voids and interview passers-by. This was followed by two commissioned works that Sasha Pirker realised on the occasion of an exhibition on Walter Pichler's work at the Museum of Modernity in Salzburg. The focus is on two of his architectural concepts that have become reality: the houses for some of his sculptures in southern Burgenland and the Passage as an exhibition venue for a private collector. As is so often the case with Pirker, the off-screen narratives form a lively echo of the architecture. Ella Raidel visited a number of music video producers in Maputo; her video not only tells of slam poetry and hip-hop music in Mozambique, but also of the tension between glamour and African reality.
