The demonic has many faces and is often enough concealed in the most mundane when viewed closely. It's not just the image of devils, skulls and deformed bodies that gives us the shivers. Often the absence of the concretely creepy in an oppressive atmosphere is precisely the moment that triggers our imagination to create horror scenarios.
