Monika Muskala
Born in Poland, Monika Muskala has lived in Austria since 1993. As a freelance journalist she has worked for the Polish section of the BBC, and PolandŽs biggest daily newspaper "Gazeta Wyborcza". She translates German literature into Polish (Thomas Bernhard, Werner Schwab, Elfriede Jelinek, etc.) and writes theater plays which are performed internationally. Monika Muskala has collaborated with Andreas Horvath on several films ("Views of a Retired Night Porter", "Arab Attraction") and photo books ("Yakutia", "Heartlands").
