Ascan Breuer

Born in 1975 in Hamburg, Germany, Ascan Breuer is of German-Chinese-Indonesian descent. He is a filmmaker and cultural scientist in Vienna, Austria. He teaches visual anthropology and film studies at the University of Vienna and the University of Arts in Linz, and is founder of "Dokumentarisches Labor" (Documentary Lab). His films and installations are shown internationally (Berlinale, Cannes, MoMA New York, Centre Pompidou…)
