Un divertissement d’amour

Love is...? Michaela Schwenter restages Plato´s Symposium in a gymnasium. A moving camera circles three women and a man gently as they converse – interspersed with philosophical text fragments – on the topic of love. Both in its form and its content, it presents paradigms of value and interpretation, which transcend the austere setting. No matter how much we ponder the notion of love, we still don’t know quite what it is.
