Jean Paul

Jean Paul deals with the displacement of roles, inside and outside of the scene. The film consists of a performance about the making of a film.
Everything is visible, crew, assistants, devices, mechanisms, cables ....
It has to do with a certain kind of pride in showing the work in its entire visage. Not leaving anything material behind.
Building sculptures that work as storyboards or parts of the set, showing situations that then become films. In his film 8 1/2 Fellini requires an avatar (Mastroianni) for himself. Jakub Vrba doesn't need that.
In his film Jean Paul his wife Ana de Almeida plays the role of the father. Jean Paul plays himself.
