Elvis
Jonas Mekas shot this footage during the final performance of the 1972 Elvis concert series in New York. The event and the audience were so wild, nobody paid any attention to his filmmaking. When the VIENNALE asked for a trailer, he immediately thought on that footage. A coincidence led Mekas to use a Strauss waltz with the images of a frenetic Elvis.
